Lighting Up Purple for Alzheimer's - World Alzheimer's Month

Home Instead High Peak is raising money for Alzheimer's Society

Organise Your Own · 14 May 2025 ·

Make it a party, make it a bake-off, make it a quiz... However you want to fundraise, you can make it matter for people affected by dementia.

Story

At Home Instead High Peak, we are showing our support for World Alzheimer's month.

We are hosting a lighting up ceremony to illuminate the exterior of our office in purple (the Alzheimer's Association's signature colour), symbolising our commitment to Alzheimer’s support. This ceremony will take place on the evening of Thursday September 19th, leading up to World Alzheimer’s Day on September 21st. We are pleased to announce that Councillor Stewart Gardner, the Mayor of High Peak, will be joining us for this occasion. Additionally, there will be refreshments available for all attendees. We will also be holding a raffle to raise funds for Alzheimer’s support services.

We hope to support the Alzheimer’s Society with their vow to help end the devastation caused by dementia, through dedicated support and research into life-changing treatments.
