Alzheimer’s society is a charity close to my heart, my mum got diagnosed in 2017 and sadly lost her battle with the disease in 2021. Then we had the bad news that my dad was also suffering with the same thing. We were so grateful as a family for the Alzheimer’s society’s support in local support groups? Cafes, dementia clubs and support in strategies to help in the home. They are there for advice and will point you in the right direction if they can’t help directly. Sadly my dad’s Alzheimer’s has progressed in the last couple of months and we are needing their support more than ever.
