Story
Rett Syndrome is a cruel condition that affects young girls and causes them to lose the ability to communicate, and move. It does not, impair their ability to think and understand things though so quite literally traps the girls in a body that cannot do what they want it to.
Scientists have been able to reverse the condition in mice however, which gives hope that in the foreseeable future, that cure will be adapted for humans, and Rett Syndrome will become the first reversible neurological condition. For more information about the condition, visit www.reverserett.org.uk
15 staff from Oakwood High School are taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge to raise money to help scientists to develop that cure. We will climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon within 24 hours.
Any donations will be greatly appreciated by all of us, and will no doubt act as motivation on the mountains. Thank you in advance.
