Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Let me explain why I have set this up.
In April 2003 I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. In May of that year I had major surgery, and in July I started 18 weeks of chemotherapy.
At that time, treatment was carried out in the Bridgewater Suite of the Belfast City Hospital, the Regional Cancer Centre, being in the early stages of construction.
Now that I am fast approaching my 65th birthday I thought what better way to thank God for the last thirteen amazing years than to shave my head
to hopefully raise funds for the Friends of the Cancer Centre. The charity supports, patients and their families, research, training for medical staff, and funding clinical care.
The head shave is taking place on the eve of my 65th birthday, so on Saturday 21st May 2016, at 11.00am I will be having my head fully shaved. This event will take place in the grounds of Downshire Presbyterian Church Victoria Road, Carrickfergus.
So please donate, come along on the 21st May, if you can , and please pray for a good summer, as I don't plan to cover my head. Thank you again for taking the time to read this. God bless.
