Incase you hadn't gathered, me and Lucy are running a half marathon which frankly I am rather scared about as I have just 3 weeks to run around a lot and get OK at running! AH!

Why? For Nightingales. WHO? A wonderful charity in Romania that takes up a big space in my muscley mass of a heart organ. They have four amazing projects going on at the moment: 

 

Casa Fericirii 'Home of Happiness'

A home for HIV positive previously insitutionalised young adults with learning difficulties.

 

 

 Nightingales School

Helping children who, due to poverty or learning disabilities, are unable to benefit from state education.

 

 Independent Living for Institutionalised young people

Nightingales runs life skills courses for young people from the county of Constanta, who are about to leave state-run institutions to live independently.

 

Fighting the causes of human trafficking and prostitution

 Nightingales is currently running a mentoring scheme in Cernavoda for young girls identified as being at risk of either choosing to go into prostitution or being trafficked.
