Ollie Young Foundation is a UK charity funding research into brain tumours in children. Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children. By directly funding paediatric brain tumour research, we are able to pursue our ultimate aim of finding a cure or prevention from this awful disease.

Story

I’m raising money for the Ollie Young Foundation by taking part in It's a Knockout! It's a Knockout took TV by storm during the 70s and 80s and I’ll be taking part in the games and wearing costumes from the BBC TV series, including the Kings from the Royal It's a Knockout and the classic Penguin Pursuit. Water, foam, bouncy castles and exhaustion are all on the agenda so please donate to support this fantastic cause. The Ollie Young Foundation is a UK registered charity which funds paediatric brain tumour research and support. It was launched in memory of the brave little boy who lost his fight against an incurable brain tumour one day before his sixth birthday and only twelve weeks after first displaying symptoms. There was no available treatment for Ollie, no cure and no hope. With over 120 different types of brain tumour, it is the biggest cancer killer of children. Via targeted research at Portsmouth's Cellular & Molecular Neuro-Oncology Research Group, we seek to increase patient life expectancy, improve quality of life and, ultimately, to save lives. Until a cure or prevention is found, children and families often rely on established hospices & charities to provide much needed support through such difficult times. To this end, a proportion of funds raised will be directed towards two organisations close to our hearts, Helen & Douglas House and CLIC Sargent, to help further this support.
