Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Many of you know our lovely son/brother/nephew/cousin, Ollie. He is a delight - he's happy, funny and affectionate. He was born with a rare condition called Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome and this means he has a lot of special needs.

We have attached some photos of Ollie with the runners so you can see how much fun we have and how much joy he brings to family life. However, managing such significant needs can also cause stress and worry at times. The Rubinstein-Taybi support group has given our family, and many like us, so much help over the years. They give information, advice and support which helps those with this rare condition to live their lives as happily and healthily as possible.

Recently the charity has been unable to afford even to send out their usual newsletters or organise their annual weekend conference. These provided comfort and support for people who really need it and we want to work together with family and friends to help them continue to do their excellent work.

We're going to undertake the following running feats which will hopefully inspire you to donate money:

11th March - Rosie(8yrs), Sofia(4yrs) and Alice(2yrs) will run a 100m sprint on Hampstead Heath....will they all be able to run in the same direction at the same time?

8th April - Billy(10yrs) will run the Brighton Mini Mile.....will he beat last year's time?

9th April - Tim and Tommy will run the Brighton Marathon.....will these two 40somethings be able to continue to shave seconds off their incredible sub-3hr marathon times?

If all that running doesn't inspire you then maybe the tireless cheering, clapping and snack-providing from Emma, Lorraine, Amy and Ollie might encourage a small donation.

We thank you, in advance, for your support. We'll keep you posted. Wish us luck!

Love from Tim, Tommy, Billy, Rosie, Sofia and Alice xxxxxx
