Wood Street Mission is a Manchester children's charity which helps children and families living in poverty in Manchester & Salford. We provide practical help to help meet children’s day-to-day needs and improve their life chances. More than 1 in 3 children in Manchester is living in poverty.

Story

The OpenMoney Team are zipping up their warm jackets and pulling on their hiking boots to climb Mount Snowdon - the highest mountain in Wales - to help raise much-needed funds for Wood Street Mission.

Wood Street Mission is a Manchester based charity that helps children and families living in poverty. They provide practical support to help meet children’s day-to-day needs and make a positive difference in their lives. More than 1 in 3 children in Manchester are living in poverty.

At an elevation of 1085 metres (3,560 ft) above sea level Snowdown is the highest point in the British Isles outside the Scottish Highlands. The hike takes around 5-7 hours to reach the summit and trek back down.
