Story

Hi Everyone!

Myself, Steven O'flynn and Carl Butcher are taking on the Spartan Beast Race on October 2nd 2016. This is a 14 mile obstacle course race proven to test us to our limits!

In February 2016 my mum, Christine Miller, was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. Since, she has undergone a full hysterectomy procedure and is in the process of having Chemotherapy. I am pleased to say that she is doing extremely extremely well and she is on course to make a full recovery. However, I am very aware that not all women are as lucky and me and the boys want to raise as much as we can to help tackle this illness.

In light of this, we are planning to complete the race in aid of the Ovarian Cancer Action charity who help women by funding research leading to innovative treatment and progressive solutions!

Of course I have set ourselves a funding target, but obviously we want to smash it! Any donations would be hugely appreciated by myself, the boys and of course my mum!

Please see below links to the Ovarian Cancer Action website and the Spartan Race website to see what we are going to tackle!

We are the UK’s leading ovarian cancer research charity. In the UK only 1 in 3 women live more than 10 years after diagnosis. We are working to better prevent, treat and detect ovarian cancer, so that by 2032 at least half of women with ovarian cancer live for 10 years.
