Stories and storytelling help develop knowledge, life-skills and wellbeing. The Story Museum's Chapter 2 redevelopment will bring more stories to more people with 10 new gallery and activity spaces offering great ways to engage with great stories.

Story

The Story Museum's mission is to enrich young lives through stories. We're doing this by creating a most unusual Museum where children and families step into magical worlds, discover new stories and create stories of their own. We create a programme of exhibitions and events in the Museum and develop outreach projects in schools and communities where our works has the greatest potential impact on young lives.

Next April, following a major redevelopment, the Story Museum will re-open with 5 Galleries, a theatre, learning spaces, cafe and shop. We'll be ready to welcome 100,000 people a year, extend our outreach and impact, and take our place as a national home of stories.

We're very close to raising all £6m needed to complete the building and fill it with 1001 stories. At this final stage, we're asking everyone we know to support our mission to enrich lives through stories. Here's a short film to give you a little insight into the project and help you make up your mind:
