I was inspired by Catherine Hamlin's book 'The Hospital by the River' to raise money for Ethiopian woman who are damaged by prolonged labour and give birth to a still born child. The charity not only repairs the damage (fistula) but continues to support the women. They also now also train local women to be midwives to go out into villages and deliver babies.

Catherine is 93 years old and still living in Ethiopia and very much involved with her charity.
