Pam and Lydia were plunging into Salford Quay and completing a one mile swim however we didn't!! Lydia was really ill and the hospital! told her not to swim (she is on the mend). So Emily - without any training plunged in to look after her mum.

Did we enjoy it? It was hard and the water quality of the Quay was not surprisingly horrible. The water tempertature had dropped to 14.3 and our feet froze. We struggled through the Salford paratises and finished - not on our knees like one of the competitiors in the photos. BUT we have raised over £300 with Gift Aid for Oxfam so thank you for your generous support.

Oxfam at the moment want 'bucket loads of money' to support the victims of the floods in Pakistan so we are hoping to provide a few buckets. Do help as every £ will help support the relief. Oxfam particularly offer long term support as well as emergency aid.
