Paris to calais 185 miles in one day, supporting john bishop · 27 February 2012
John Bishop is raising money for Sport Relief by cycling from Paris to Calais (185 miles), rowing to the UK in a 4 man boat with Davina McCall, Denise Lewis and Freddie Flintoff. He then has to run 90 miles from Dover to London's Marble Arch in 3 days. John aims to raise enough money, not only to pay for a vaccine against five deadly diseases for 250,000 children in Africa, but also to help people living incredibly tough lives in the UK.
We were honoured to have been asked to cycle with him on the first leg of this epic endurance challenge - during part of his journey from Paris to Calais in one day.
We completed the bike leg with John on 27th Feb, he rode a total of 185 miles, starting at 930am, and didn't finish until 4am on 28th feb.
He had some very low moments during this epic ride but we think our help and support got him through it.
After we finished in calais he managed just one hours sleep before he was woken again to prepare for his second day, rowing acroos the channel!
How he did it we will never know having seen his condition that morning!
He did though and is currently on the run leg of the challenge.
Please continue to sponsor us, we have done lots of epic rides before but have never collected anything for charity.
Every little bit helps, please donate! Please note all the money collected here goes directly to John's total fund at sport relief x
