I am raising funds for the Alzheimer's Society, because its something I feel passionate about. My Mum suffered from a rare form of Dementia known as Primary Progressive Non-Fluent Aphasia (a form of FTD). I cared for Mum until we lost her to this disease, last June 2009. Dad also suffers from Alzheimer's, and he presently lives with me.

This year I will be taking part in the Bupa Great Manchester Run on the 16th May 2010. Additionally, I will be walking one of Britain's highest peaks when I take part in the Ben Nevis Challenge - 17-19 September 2010. Hopefully, I will be able to do a couple of other things during the year, but we will see how things go.

Dementia is a disease that is grossly underfunded, and can affect young and old alike, so please help me to support the Alzheimer's Society and spread the word.

Just to let you know I completed the Bupa Great Manchester Run on 16th May, in a time of 54mins 31seconds. The photo shows me in preparation just before the start. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS SUPPORTED ME SO FAR.  

Also, completed the Ben Nevis Challenge - 17-19 September 2010. It was a great weekend, raising funds with like minded people. THANKS AGAIN TO THOSE WHO HAVE SUPPORTED ME!
