Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are fundraising as much as we can for ‘Seeing is Believing’ - a global initiative to help eliminate avoidable blindness. On 6th July 2018, we will set off on our 100km challenge, walking non-stop through the day and night along the stunning South Coast from Winchester to Brighton.

Whilst the route takes us through some of England's finest scenery, this is certainly no easy task.

Starting at the Queen Elizabeth Country Park, we’ll head towards the east and through the South Downs National Park. Walking through the night we hope to finish at the seaside town of Brighton at some point (!) the next day.

The average finishing time is 27 hours, but the course record is an astonishing 9 hours 50 minutes - set by the Gurkha themselves. We suspect that migrating from a desk job to the rolling hills of the South Downs may take us a little longer than that, and are aiming to complete the challenge within 27 hours of setting off. Large parts of the route cannot be accessed easily from the road, so we will be responsible for carrying our own supplies of food, water and probably lots of blister plasters.

We’re fundraising for an amazing cause so please give generously. Standard Chartered will match every pound we raise and whatever you can donate will spur us on to complete our challenge.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
