This year I am running the Virgin London Marathon.

I have watched it every year and always thought it would be an amazing experience to take part in this world famous event. 

Having known people that have entered, and told me what a fantastic occasion it is, I thought I would take a chance and enter for a balloted place.

This year I have been lucky enough to get a place and as a little extra incentive for me to get over the line, I have decided to raise money for the British Thyroid foundation.

This charity have been a great support to our family, since our daughter was diagnosed with congenital hypothyroidism at 10 days old.  She is now a lively 9 year old and will be cheering her Dad on! We are very proud of her.
