Thanks for looking at my fundraising page.  I'm the Chairperson of Children's Heart Surgery Fund, but first and foremost, I'm a dad to Martha.  Martha needed open heart surgery at just 6 days old for a condition called Transposition of the Great Arteries.  She had her life-saving operation at the Leeds Children's Hospital and continues to be under the incredible care of the Leeds Congenital Heart Unit.  Our journey was made more bearable by the wonderful care and support we received from Children's Heart Surgery Fund, which included accommodation and counselling.  According to NHS figures, almost 1 in 100 babies are born with a heart defect in the UK.  That's why I'm running '100k in a day' to raise much needed funds for this amazing charity.  Please give what you can.  Thank you!
