Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 24th May, I am taking part with friends and colleagues in the Barclays 'Wheels for Change' 100km sportive bike ride in the Midlands.
Just 3 weeks later, on 12th June, I am increasing my personal challenge by riding the route of the 1st stage of the 2014 Tour de France in Yorkshire... 190km of challenging terrain that the likes of Wiggins, Froome and Cavendish will be taking on in early July. These will be the longest and most difficult roads I have cycled yet.
I am undertaking these challenges to raise much needed funds for UNICEF who support and work with some of the most disadvantaged young people around the world. The work they undertake literally changes the lives and fortunes of thousands of young people. Just £35 provided an inspirational young person in Zambia with vital tools to start his own carpentry business, which became successful and allowed him to build and start a nursery school for his local village.
So if you want to see me in pain and lycra (!) please donate whatever you can - no amount is too small - to support my efforts to raise money to help UNICEF. Thank you.
