Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I've set up a website www.helpingmehelpingyou.co.uk which explains what I'm doing throughout 2017 and why.

I'm not asking for donations, but if you'd like to donate I'm not going to say no! However if you are going to donate there are some simple rules that I'd like you to follow. You must either:

1) Do something positive that you wouldn't normally do. (An example might be to cycle to work rather than drive); or

2) Not do something negative that you normally would have done. (As example might be refraining from opening a beer on your sofa whilst watching Sky Sports, or cutting down on smoking, or chocolate etc).

3) The money that you save from either 1 or 2 above can then be donated, on the basis that it hasn't cost you anything, being money that you would have spent anyway. In 1 above it might be the petrol you save, or the car parking fees; in 2 above it might be the saving of the beer, chocolate, biscuits, cigarettes - whatever!

You can donate each time you successfully accomplish a 'positive' or desist from a 'negative'. Or, if you prefer, you can tot them up and then donate on a weekly or monthly basis.

The beauty of this is that you will be helping others whilst also helping yourself. And best of all it won't be costing you a penny.

If you to donate, please leave a little message so that I know how we've helped you. I'd love to hear how inventive some of you can be as well.

I plan to update on a regular basis how I am doing, and will be making regular donations to the good people at BLGC throughout the year. They do great work on behalf of the young people in this town.
