Tour Du Mont Blanc · 18 July 2015

Lessons for Life and Street Child believe every child deserves the chance to go to school and learn. Our projects focus on a combination of education, child protection and livelihood support to address the social, economic and structural issues that underpin today’s education crisis.

Story

As many of you will know I turned 50 back in April. To prove to myself that I am not a short, bald tubby middle aged bloke and instead of buying a fancy sports car or taking a mistress I decided to attempt something much less expensive or complicated.

I have entered Les Tour Du Mont Blanc on the 18th July! The race has a reputation of being the toughest ONE day cycle race in the world:
-330 km
-9000 metres of ascent – that is more than Everest!!
-3 countries – France, Italy and Switzerland
-All in one day

I was initially not intending to do the race for charity but a friend of mine (Imogen Ward – CEO of the Lessons for Life Foundation) suggested I should re-think. I have since become a lot more familiar with the work of Lessons for Life and finishing the race for the charity (raising money to educate kids for a better life in Africa) has overtaken my ego as the primary motivation.

Please put your hand in your pocket and sponsor me.

Cheers, Paul
