As a new dad, I have just discovered the love, joy and excitement that a child brings to life, and have so far been extremely lucky to have a child in excellent health. I can't imagine the heartbreak associated with a diagnosis of a life limiting condition and hope I never have to, but I imagine that as a family, it would become so important to live each minute to its fullest; to laugh, love and create special memories with your most precious people.

That's why  In July 2017 some of my colleagues and I will be climbing, walking and (probably) crawling our way up the tallest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales, all in the aid of charity.

Why would you voluntarily walk uphill for 24 hours straight, without sleep? Why would you give up your Sunday mornings to trudge up and down a hill carrying weight on your back?

Whilst the walk will be tough, I know people will pay for my pain and help me raise loads of money for Magic Moments, and that money raised will contribute to some wonderful memories for a family.

Magic Moments is a fantastic charity which supports children with life limiting illnesses. Every year they take children from supported hospices on an amazing trip to Disneyland Paris.
