Paul's 17th London to Brighton bike ride - Solo Mk2!! · 20 June 2021

We are all touched by the heartbreak of heart and circulatory diseases. Whether youre taking on an epic personal challenge, organising an event or doing an online collection, every pound you raise will help fund life saving research.

Story

Hi Everybody,

This year would have been my 17th London to Brighton bike ride to help fund vital work and equipment for the British Heart Foundation.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the official BHF London to Brighton bike ride has been cancelled, Again!! so I've decided to repeat 2020 and do it alone!

The London to Brighton bike ride is British Heart Foundations flagship event, started in 1975.  The 2019 event raised an incredible £2 million from the 15,000 cyclists who took part. It's from these donations that they can continue to fund research and buy equipment which saved my Dad's life and helped him recover.

As their fundraising continues to be drastically reduced by having to cancel the event again this year, I wanted to do my bit by continuing with the ride and trying to raise as much as I can in support of them.

With all your continued support over the last 16 years, I have managed to raise over £15,000 for the British Heart Foundation - I hope to make it to £20,000 soon, every little helps!

Thank you.

 Paul
