Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
In September 2018 internationally acclaimed fiddler player, teacher and composer Paul Anderson was diagnosed with non Hodgkin's lymphoma. Paul had his chemotherapy in the anchor unit at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and the care he received was second to none. As a thank you Paul is organising a special concert on the 3rd of May in Aberdeen to raise money for Friends of Anchor.
This page has created for those who would like to donate to the fundraising effort but who can't attend the concert.
Paul finished his chemotherapy two months ago and is extremely grateful to those who looked after him so well.
Thank you!
Friends of ANCHOR has served oncology and haematology patients throughout the North-east of Scotland, including Orkney and Shetland, since the ANCHOR Unit opened in 1997.
Run by a small team and stewarded by a committee comprised of senior representatives from the ANCHOR Unit wards and clinics, and the business community, the charity’s founding aim was, and remains to this day, to provide the best possible treatment, care and support to patients.
In the last five years alone, Friends of ANCHOR has invested £4m directly into research, equipment and wellbeing within the Foresterhill Health Campus.
