Story
Thanks for visiting my 'Just Giving' page..
I am taking part in the 2017 London Marathon and running for Pancreatic Cancer Uk.
The main reason for running and for my choice in charity is because my partner lost her mother, Margaret West to pancreatic cancer suddenly in August 2016.
Her loss has had a significant impact on the entire family and we were all struck by how aggressive this form of cancer actually is. We were only left days with Margaret from diagnosis to her parting.
I will be running the marathon to honour her extraordinary bravery in the face of the cruelest of illnesses and to support the vital research into the causes, and treatment of pancreatic cancer.
I have never run a marathon before, nor have I taken on such a physical challenge!
Training started just prior to Christmas and although it's going well needs to be stepped up now that the festive period is over!!!
My motivation is of course Margaret and the money I can raise in her memory to help Pancreatic Cancer Uk continue their incredible work.
Thank you in anticipation of your generosity. Please donate now and help me raise money and awareness on behalf of this great charity.
