I've been in and around the NHS for getting on 34 years. I love the people and admire their dedication and compassion. They support people at their time of need. Brighterway is our charity at Southern Health and helps to provide extra for the people that use our services.

I am also on a journey to lose weight and become healthier. I want to lose 12 stone (already 2 stones lost) and become fitter in the process. This is helping me travel well on that journey.

I was going to run the Southampton 10k but unfortunately during the course of my training injured my knee. This uncovered the fact that I will at some point require a replacement. So, instead of running I am going to cycle with some wonderful and supportive friends and colleagues from Southern Health.
