The Bridgnorth Sponsored Walk has been held annually since 1967 and is now an established major source of funds for many local charities, schools, sports clubs and other organisations. With up to 1200 competitors, their supporters and others helping the organisers on the day, the event involves many of the local community.The walk starts from Bridgnorth High Street and proceeds:

• along the Ludlow Road to the village of Cleobury North
• to the summit of Brown Clee Hill (at 546 metres, the highest point in the West Midlands)
• through the village of Ditton Priors
• returning to Bridgnorth High Street.
• a total distance of 22 miles.
