Paula's page London marathon 2017

London Marathon 2017 · 23 April 2017 ·
In April I am running the London Marathon and in July the full long course (2.4mile swim, 112 mile cycle and 26.2 mile run over 3 days) which takes place in Tenby in memory of Mark Owen. I worked with Mark in Next for over 7 years. On the 21st September 2015 Mark suddenly and tragically passed away from heart failure aged 44. It was a massive shock to myself, my colleagues and of course Marks family. One week later, Marks Mum suffered a brain haemorrhage and sadly passed away , so within 1 week Marks Dad and Brother now lost a son/brother and a wife/mother.
Marks dad has said how touched he is , that I am running the marathon in Marks memory.
Mark was a character to say the least and i'm sure that his funny stories and advice on how to run , 'what you need to do Paula is ........' will help me run through those tough miles with a smile on my face
He had a quirky sense of humour and often had us laughing at his funny stories. Mark is sadly missed but never far from our thoughts every day.
