Well it's done and it went really well. I completed the race in 4hrs 22m, under my expected time so I am ecstatic! Thank you to each and everyone of you who has been kind enough to sponsor me. This page will remain open for a further 3mths so if you wish to show your support you still can. Also well done to my other running buddies who also ran for other worthwhile charities, they did great!!

Just completed 20 miles today. Only 5 weeks to go!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Bill and I were married in 1994. It was his second marriage and had children from before but we were keen to start our own family, as soon as we could.

Some five years on and after many tests and investigations we decided to go down the route of IVF. I was getting desperate!

Words cannot describe the joy and elation we both felt when after the first attempt we were told that it was a 'positive result'.The joy turned to disbelief when we went for a scan, to be told that it was infact two babies we were having not just one. I couldn't believe my luck, after years of waiting, I was finally going to become a Mum of two, in one go! We were thrilled.

The pregnancy progressed well, right up until a routine scan at 24 weeks, when we were told there was a problem and we needed to go to Bristol for further investigation. Once again after numerous tests and scans, we were given the heart breaking news, that one of our babies was "not going to have any quality of life," if he were to survive. Not only this, but to continue with his life could jeopardise the life of his brother, who appeared to be perfectly normal and healthy, albeit small because of the lack of space.

We had to choose?! How in gods name can you make such a choice! Why is life so cruel sometimes?? After many weeks of crying and 'what ifs'...... we made the decision.....it was not a choice. We could do no other.......

My story ends with "time is a great healer," but we never forget...... We are now the proud parents of Curtis, our wonderful son and Lili our 'little surprise' that came along to help with the healing. And up above in the sky is our little angel Alex,
