Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This year, I'm braving my FIRST EVER ultra marathon, a somewhat hilly 100km along our glorious South Downs from my home town of Eastbourne all the way to Arundel. It's split over two days: 55km (34 miles) on the first day and 45km (28 miles) on the next!

As part of my challenge, I'm raising funds for the wonderful National Autistic Society (NAS), a charity that I've often turned to for information and resources not just for myself, but to share with others. They are the leading charity in promoting awareness and understanding of the spectrum that is Autism, a neuro-divergence that impacts upon my children, myself, and many of my wonderful friends. In particular, my daughter Emilia is still struggling to access the education that she deserves that will enable her to thrive as the wonderful, bright, creative being that she is, and it is through the work of charities such as NAS that we can start to make the changes to help her, and all our children.

I know that times have been hard for many of us during this pandemic, but if lots of us can chip in just a little bit, then those little bits will soon add up. I hope that you will be able to support me in this challenge, the National Autistic Society in their work, and children like my Emilia in their lives. Thank you 🙏
