On September 16th I am taking part in the Blackpool Memory Walk for Alzheimer's Society in memory of my grandma, Madeleine Chappell.

This charity is one very important to me as earlier this year I lost my grandma to Alzheimer's and recently my grandad has also been diagnosed with dementia so I have seen first-hand the devastating effects this horrible illness can have. Alzheimer's Society invest in research into dementia care, cause, cure and prevention and also offer 3,000 services across England, Wales and Northern Ireland which offer information, care and support to people with dementia, their families, friends and carers.
