After my father-in-law sadly passed away suddenly in February of this year, I wanted to do something as a fitting tribute to a man who was a keen mountaineer and a lover of the outdoors. Neither of us had climbed all three of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mount Snowdon let alone consecutively, so this seems like the perfect challenge to take on along with my close friend (and mountain leader) Dave Peel with whom Peter and I shared several fells/peaks.

Torridon Mountain rescue was a charity close to Peter’s heart, having spent time with many of the members during ice climbing trips to the region.
