Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page! We're taking part in Race The Thames Virtual 2022 - join us to bust the winter blues! 

Race The Thames is the annual fundraising event run by London Youth Rowing (LYR), where teams take on the challenge of virtually covering the Tidal Thames (72km). 

The money raised will be used to help support LYR's work in London and Leeds. LYR's programmes allow young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to take part in rowing, giving them the benefit of participating in the sport and allowing them to fulfil their potential. The gallery below shows the impact LYR's work has for young people. 

We will also be supporting StreetGames, with 50% of the total funds raised to go to their work. StreetGames' mission is to empower disadvantaged young people through sport and physical activity. The charity not only offers a wide range of 'Doorstep' sport clubs to communities across the UK, but also provides volunteering and apprenticeship opportunities to aspiring coaches. So far it has helped over 11,000 coaches to earn their qualifications and has worked with over 500,000 young people.
