I don’t know what compels people to run 100 miles, mostly in the dark through wind, rain and ankle-deep mud, I don’t know how you keep going when every movement is agony for hour after hour, I don’t know how you keep your mind strong when every rational thought is telling you to stop. Give up. Go home. 

I don’t know, but I will soon. I will attempt to run continuously from Coverack to Porthtowan in the 2022 Arc of Attrition. I’m pretty sure I’ll get to a point where I want to turn it all in and head back to a warm sofa in Meva. The temptation will be there throughout. The option. 

I will keep going with the impetus that there are millions of people with no option. There are people in Afghanistan who are cold and hungry and desperate. Imagine having no food for your starving kids, today, the next day, the next. This must be hell itself and they cannot make it stop. Cannot bale out. We can help, just a little bit. Please help me to do a silly thing for just a little bit of good. Cheers.
