We provide advice and support to anyone facing a mental health problem

Story

Hi there.
Those of you unfortunate enough to follow me on Twitter will know that, on April 1st, I am doing a rap battle. Those of you who are smart enough not to bother, guess what? I am doing a rap battle on April 1st. At the age of 38.
Well, to motivate me and ensure that I don't wuss out at the last moment, I've decided to do it sponsored – I'm going to be raising money for Depression Alliance, a UK charity that is very close to my heart and which provides support for sufferers of depression, something which I imagine all of us will appreciate, if not first-hand. The guy I am battling is another journalist, called Alex Bentley, a friend of mine, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to say nasty things about his mum. Only one stipulation – whatever you pledge to sponsor, it gets doubled if I win.
You can find out about the Depression Alliance here http://www.depressionalliance.org/ and find out why I am so interested in it here http://dontflopblog.wordpress.com/2012/02/16/battle-rap-saved-my-life

In August 2016, Depression Alliance merged with Mind, the mental health charity. We believe no one should have to face a mental health problem alone. We’re here for you. Money you donate here will be used exclusively for services previously run by Depression Alliance, e.g. Friends in Need.
