The Mental Health Foundation believe no-one living in the UK should be deprived of the opportunity for good mental health because of who they are, the community they come from or where they live. We’re developing better ways to support good mental health in every community.

Story

I have struggled with my own mental health for many years and running was one of the things that really helped me to get my life on track and give it and myself focus. The run also falls on the last day Mental Health Awareness Week hosted by the foundation, so it seemed fitting to run and raise for something that i strongly believe in with my brother who has also found running as a really positive step in coping with his own mental health issues. The foundation is all encompassing in its approach to tackling mental health issues. It is a problem that affects such a large proportion of people and is something that is also personal to us.

The Mental Health Foundation is the UK’s charity for everyone’s mental health. Spanning all sexes, ages and walks of life searching to tackle the source of the issues, where they start, as well as how they can affect policy for change on a countrywide scale. With prevention at the heart of what they do, the Mental Health Foundation aim to find and address the sources of mental health problems so that people and communities can thrive.
