Story

When the kids were young we had a holiday in North Wales. Taking the train up Snowdon is expensive, so I got up early one morning and had a ride before they woke. I'm not sure Gareth ever forgave me. A few years later he was diagnosed with Dilated Cardiomyopathy and had a heart transplant at Great Ormond Street in 2004. That gave him another 9 years of life - we saw him get a degree, a car, a home, and drive trains on the South Tynedale Railway. BHF were a great support to us, and now we're in Derby we've linked with the local fundraising group. They have a Snowdon Walk planned, and I said "that sounds fun". Please sponsor me to make it worthwhile. What a shame I work on a Sunday and can't do the zipwire ...
