Pete and geoff's 3 peaks challenge

3 peaks challenge · 22 September 2017
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Well it's been a while since me and the father (Geoff) have taken up on a challenge for charity. To mark the 10 year anniversary of the loss of my mother (Linda) and sister (shannah).
For those who don't know, on the 23rd September 2007 I was involved in a car accident which took the lives of my mum and sister and left me with two broken legs. It took over two years to get my legs sorted (4 operations later), although I still have a numb patch on my left knee and 10 scars between both legs.
Not only having to deal with two broken legs and being wheelchair bound I had the physiological damage. That's where penhaligons stepped in. Penhaligons friends is a brievent charity that's supports young people through brievement. They were able to help me when no other could, they helped me come to terms with the loss of the two most wonderful ladies in my life. You could say they saved me from myself. I wouldn't be who I am today if it weren't for them!
For that reason we are taking on the 3 peaks challenge! The 3 peaks challenge - taking on the tallest peaks in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (scafell pike) and Wales (mt snowdon) in 24hrs. Yes 24hrs! We will be starting at the bottom of Ben Nevis on the 22/09 at 2pm to finish at the bottom of mt snowdon on 23/09 at 2pm which we will be having a 1 min silence in memory of mum and Shannah. The reason behind us finishing at 2pm is that was the time the call was made to the emergency services the day of the accident. We are also welcoming anyone who would like to meet us at the bottom of mt snowdon. We would love to see you there!
Please get behind us and this wonderful charity. You will never know when you need them. But they will always be there. ❤️
