Latest update.  Femur consultant has banned me from running till one year after my accident (26/2/12), as a result I won't be dong the GNR, but have registered for the Bath Half Maratonon (3/3/13).  Is there no end to my madness.

As a result of multiple femur and pelvic fractures end Feb means that I am very unlilely to complete this.  So please hold back from your donations for now.  I will keep you all posted, but the consultant thinks I don't stand a chance.

I accidentally signed up for the GNR (2012 Great North Run half marathon) thinking I was lucky to get tickets to a Guns N' Roses concert.

I ran for a bus once and didn't like it. 

I am very unfit and - at my age - stand a pretty good likelihood of expiring long before, or even during, the run.

Thus, if you donate you are quite likely to keep your money, since it will not cost you unless I cross the line (or am carried across).

Those who have suffered (or are due to suffer) my talents at work or those who have had to put up with my sense of humour, may like to donate more than the obligatory 5p to increase my motivation and thus the likelihood of my demise.  However, if you do save on the donation in this way, you are expected to contribute flowers.
