When some friends at work suggested doing a cycle ride from London to Paris to raise money for charity I just had to do it for The Harefield Hospital.

 

Last year my dad had a successful heart by-pass at the hospital and I personally think what they do is great, not only in performing the operations but in all the care and support they give to their patients. The hospital is currently trying to raise £1.5 million for a MRI scanner which will help detecting coronary heart disease and heart failure.

 

My bike ride is from Battersea Park in South London to the Eiffel Tower in Paris and will take three days for the 180 miles. In organising this trip we have received generous help from the Premier Inn hotel in Newhaven and operator of the Newhaven to Dieppe ferry and I would like to thank them for this.

 

We are paying for the entire trip ourselves with all of my sponsorship money going to this worthy cause.
