On the 13th of June 2015 my nephew Jasper was born.  Very soon after he started to have complications and he suffered an intraventricular bleed in his brain, which meant he was fighting for his life.  He was rushed to Great Ormond Street Hospital for emergency surgery and remained in hospital for the first four months of this life, with ongoing complications.  He has had a total of 13 operations to date.  

Clearly my nephew is a trooper to have come through such a difficult start to life, and I am grateful for the truly amazing work the hospital did for him and his parents, Nemmy and Ro.  They wouldn't be able to do this without support from fundraising events like this walk. 

So, for the last six weeks I have been walking 20 hours a week covering around 80 miles in preparation for this challenge.  I am determined to succeed to raise funds for this amazing charity.
