Our charity is all about making a real difference – every day – to the lives of patients, their families, and the amazing staff at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have been lucky enough to secure a place in the 2017 London Marathon through my running club. I have decided it would be a perfect opportunity to raise money and awareness of the support we receive from Chesterfield Royal Hospital for our son Charlie. I am specifically raising money for the paediatric departments of the hospital.

Charlie was born with a rare chromosomal condition called Trisomy 9p which effects all parts of his development. From birth we have received care and support at the hospital and will do for the foreseeable future.

Since September 2014 he has been attending a specialist nursery within the hospital that helps with his development alongside professionals from other paediatric departments.

As a family everyone we have dealt with at the hospital has been fantastic and feel it would be great to give something back by raising funds to help others. This can go towards new equipment or resources that children can benefit from.

Thank you.
