This charity is perhaps not the best known to people, but the work that they do provided so much comfort to my mum in the later years of her life. Registered blind, talking books was Mum's way of replacing the joy she had always taken from being an avid reader. Mum always handled her near blindness with a smile and a strength that was simply inspirational to me as i know it was to all who knew her. 

A year ago i set myself a target of running two miles . With the support of others i find  myself at the point of entering these two events, running two half marathons in a couple of weeks. Compared to the efforts of others i know this is nothing special from me... but Mum was so special and so is this  charity . If i can raise some help for them to continue their great work then that would be amazing.
