Hello all, My name is Peter Vause, I am fundraising for Boobs & Brass to help them achieve their goal of raising £15,000 for Breast Cancer Research by skydiving! My skydiving will be taking place on the 23rd September in Lincolnshire. Their & in turn my chosen charity is Breast Cancer Now. I am the Secretary & Events Coordinator for The Lincolnshire Hospitals Band. On the 13th October of this year the band will be holding a concert at Lincoln Cathedral as an additional fundraiser for this great cause. The Boobs and Brass band will be playing their instruments for the last time and this is their final big push to achieve their overall target of £250,000 since they formed in 2006.

Breast Cancer Now is the UK’s largest breast cancer charity, created by the merger of Breast Cancer Campaign and Breakthrough Breast Cancer. It is the most common cancer in the UK. Over 55,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer each year in the UK, including around 4,700 in Scotland. Thanks to research, more people are surviving breast cancer than ever before, yet there are still nearly 1,000 women who die of breast cancer every month in the UK.

Your Donation will go towards cutting-edge research, supporting nearly 450 of the brightest scientists needed make the discoveries necessary to stop women dying from breast cancer. It will also go towards helping thousands of women become breast aware – and we’re making sure they know what changes and risk factors to look out for. Because the earlier breast cancer is detected, the greater the chance of surviving it.
