Vital lifesaving equipment for Petersfield Community First Responders · 5 March 2017

We support the ambulance service in Berks, Bucks, Oxon & Hants. We are raising funds: to train & equip our volunteers; to train & equip communities to save lives & to enable the ambulance service to develop & enhance the care it gives. All our funds go to things over & above what the NHS funds.

Story

This is the Just Giving page for the Petersfield Community First Responder scheme. We are a group of volunteers who donate our time to South Central Ambulance Charity to respond to life-threarening 999 calls for South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust.

We rely on donations from the community to allow us to respond to calls and make our life saving interventions whilst awaiting the arrival of an Ambulance. Without the support and care of the local community we wouldn't be able to operate our Scheme.

To put our appeal in to perspective, below are some of the approximate costs incurred by running our responder team which consists currently, of four volunteers and two kits. All of these items are just a few of the vital life saving devices and equipment that we carry when responding to a 999 call;

Responder kit bag (including Automated External Defibrillator or AED) - £2,000

Replacement AED battery - £180

Communications equipment - £20pcm

Replacement AED - £1,000

Replacement paediatric AED pads - £20 per set

We really are grateful for any donations we receive to help secure our future for the next 12-months. Thank you x
