The Christie charity provides enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds. Your support can help us to fund life-changing and potentially life-saving projects that will benefit cancer patients both now and in the future.

Story

As a lot of you now the last few years has been tough on my family due to the pain of cancer.  My dad has been in hospital for nearly three years now since his brain injury which occured post operation in intensive care after removing his cancerous bladder.

I have decided to try and raise as much money as possible for the the Christie to bring about something postive from the awful situation that faces my dad and my family and I would love your donation no matter how big or small to help me towards my fundraising total.

Unfortunately my dad will never recover from his brain inury and faces further turmoil along the way but I am thankful that his cancer has been removed and I remember the truly wonderful support from the staff at the Christie when he was receiving chemotherapy and support.

In the last year my wife has lost her Gran and Grandad to cancer too and my uncle continues his daily battle to keep his cancer at bay through chemotherapy supported by the Christie.

I'm sure you don't need telling that it's a truly awful disease which has touched us all!!

SO............

As way of fundraising, I, along with some pals are going to tackle the Welsh 3000 challenge. For those that don't know, we are going to climb Snowdon late at night in June, grab a few hours kip and set off at first light in the hope of climbing and going over 15 peaks along a 26-30 mile route. This must be completed in 24 hours to successfully complete the challenge and I'm sure you can see that this is not going to be easy and will push us all physically.

So now you know why and know what, please can I ask you to dig deep and support me in this very worthy cause!
