Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

In 2011, the Christie saved my life. My friend Wayne Hindle who was also fighting for his life never made it. I've never forgotten the laughs we had in that hospital. Never once did we talk about our plight such was the character he was. I miss him.

I've lost Carl Piddington a life long friend to a brain tumour a couple of months back, my aunt Vera last month and I have a cousin fighting a brain tumour right now. God forbid cancer doesn't touch you.

The Christie are making great progress every day. All funds raised will redevelop the CT department a vital part of the hospital. It will ensure the capacity is increased, future proof services and ensure patients have a private and dignified service. Help me help them.

The Manchester to Blackpool bike ride is a 60 mile trek from Salford Quays. But I will be cycling to the start from my home in Bredbury. Cycling to Blackpool with family and friends, then cycling back home solo to Bredbury. It's a 140 mile round trip that gets tougher every year. But you can make it worth while with your donation.

Thank you for helping me and the Christie save lives. We appreciate every penny.

When you arise in the morning think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive - Marcus Aurelius
