Story
In May 2025 I was diagnosed with Triple Positive Breast Cancer at 30 years old. Needless to say that my life as I knew it ended that day. What followed was a series of countless appointments - from various scans, through fertility preservation, to treatment planning just to name a few.
I have completed 18 weeks of chemotherapy, underwent surgery and a course of radiotherapy. Being diagnosed with Triple Positive Breast Cancer means that my treatment journey isn't over yet and I am yet to finish both targeted and hormone therapies. However, I am grateful to have had a complete response to chemotherapy and I am lucky to today be cancer free.
On 18th April 2026, I am taking part in the Pink Ribbon Walk organised by Breast Cancer Now. It's a 10 mile (16km) walk - quite the challenge for someone who has just been through all this treatment! But I am ready to rebuild my strength, and a great cause like this is a fantastic motivator to help me get fit after beating cancer. I see it as my big victory walk.
Breast Cancer Now fund their world-class research and life-changing care for anyone affected by breast cancer. By 2030, it's estimated that 1.2 million women will be living with the disease. Breast Cancer Now are uniting to make life-saving discoveries and are here to offer expert support to anyone, the whole way through their breast cancer experience. But they can't do it alone.
By sponsoring my Pink Ribbon Walk you can help change the lives of men and women and the future of breast cancer.
