In memory of Barry Thirlwell
We fund care, campaigning and research to achieve a world free from MND

Story

Colleagues of Barry Thirlwell, a much missed Port of Blyth co-worker who sadly passed away having been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, are planning a sponsored walk to remember him and raise funds for the MND Association.

Organised by Ross Dixon and Geordie Calder, the walk from the Port's South Harbour terminal to it's Battleship Wharf terminal will take place on Saturday 14th October at 10.30am, to mark the first anniversary of his passing.

The MND Association improves care and support for people with MND, their families and carers; funds research that leads to new understanding and treatments of MND, bringing the world closer to a cure forthe disease.

They campaign and raise awareness so the needs of people with MND and everyone who cares for them are recognised and addressed by wider society.

Please give generously if you can.
