Story

Dear All

I will be embarking on a 2 week trek in the Humla region (north east Nepal) this coming October to raise money for the Kathmandu Kids Club (KatKids).  I’m sure most of you will not be aware of this charity so please give a few minutes to read the following:

·         The ISIS Foundation (UK) administers the fund raising for the Kathmandu Kids Club which is independently funded so that 100% of the donations are received by the charity .

·         Why Nepal? Nepal is classed as one of the least developed countries in the world with a quarter of the population living under the poverty line.  Humla in particular is extremely remote, one of the poorest regions on earth and sadly often ignored by big development organizations.

·         Since 1999 ISIS has supported only sustainable , comprehensive projects that are developed in response to local need…including education, healthcare, reducing child trafficking and the simple luxury of smokeless stoves.

·         The trek is the first of its kind in this area and is mostly untrekked by Westerners so this in itself is a worthy challenge

I’m hoping to raise in excess of £7,000/$10,000 so any donations will be massively appreciated!
