Project Trident: Antarctica Speed Record Attempt

Project Trident: Antarctica Speed Record Attempt · 1 March 2022
https://projecttrident.uk/
Our aim is to become the fastest people to ski unsupported from Hercules Inlet to the South Pole. Our expedition will be taking place from November - December 2022.
We aim to beat the current world record of 24d, 01h, 13h by completing the expedition in 23 days. We will cover a distance of 1,139km on skis pulling 70kg+ sleds unsupported.
Some days can be so extreme that movement is impossible. We will therefore try to exceed 50km a day from day 1 to allow for lost days. Each day is based on strict routines to maximise progress and optimise rest and nutrition.
Our goal is to raise £500,000 to help develop and sustain a new mental health initiative which will deliver much needed support to SBSA members in every field from nutrition, sleep, hygiene, physical resilience and mental resilience
The SBSA is a charity that provides an extended welfare system to its members. There are, sadly, a growing number of members and their dependants for whom, through physical or psychological injury, bereavement or adversity, the SBSA now has a responsibility. The SBSA fills a delta of need which, because of the special nature of the people they support, raises that support to a level of the very highest quality which is deemed to be appropriate. Your donations will make a tangible difference to the support given by the SBSA.
